It's like new. Not a resistor, that will mess up the phasing. This motor is about 50 years old.

Duty type mechanical, internal fans, does not require air over. You can also run it cool at very low hp by putting the capacitor on the main winding instead of the quadrature winding. I bought it for a project that didn't get off the ground. Bracket has two threaded holes apart plus four plain 1/4 holes.

At 120v no load, I measured 60 k rise. At 100v, no load rise is only 40 k.
